Most Spacious Honda Models: Cars, Vans, and SUVs
Whether you want an SUV with more room for your growing family or an efficient sedan that doesn’t compromise on space, you have plenty of options in the Honda lineup. From minivans to crossovers and SUVs to sedans, Honda offers a spacious vehicle for every lifestyle. In addition to their roomy interiors and generous trunk spaces, these Honda models also offer plenty of convenience, technology, and safety features to keep your family safe and comfortable on the Cincinnati roads. Here are five of the most spacious Honda vehicles for you and your family.
Honda Odyssey

For families who want ultimate space and comfort, sometimes only a minivan will do. In the new Honda Odyssey, which measures 205.2 inches in length, you can seat up to eight passengers with third-row seating. Front- and middle-seat passengers enjoy the same amount of legroom at 40.9 inches, while third-row passengers ride just as comfortably with 38.1 inches of legroom. Depending on the trim you choose, you’ll get up to 163.6 cubic feet of passenger volume, making the Odyssey one of the most spacious vehicles in the Honda lineup.
Even when you have a full car, there’s plenty of room to transport the essentials. The new Odyssey offers 38.6 cubic feet of cargo volume behind the third row. Fold down this row for up to 92.3 cubic feet of cargo volume. When you need extra space for heavy-duty jobs, like moving boxes or buying furniture, you can fold down both the second- and third-row seats for a maximum 158 cubic feet of volume.
Honda Pilot
The largest SUV in the Honda lineup, the Honda Pilot offers a spacious, comfortable ride whether you’re running errands or taking a family road trip across Ohio. With third-row seating for up to eight passengers, new Pilot models measure 196.5 inches in length with a maximum passenger volume of 153.1 cubic feet. No matter where you sit in the Pilot, you’ll have enough room to stretch your legs. Front-seat passengers get 40.9 inches of legroom, while second- and third-row passengers have 38.4 inches and 31.9 inches, respectively.
Need some extra space for large or bulky items, like bikes or furniture? The Honda Pilot can handle it all. With the second- and third-row seats folded flat, you can get up to 109.2 cubic feet of cargo volume behind the front seat. Behind the second row, you’ll have up to 55.9 cubic feet of volume. Even with the third row seats upright, you can utilize the 18.5 cubic feet of volume in the cargo area to store groceries, backpacks or other items. Plus, a hands-free power tailgate provides easy access to the cargo space on some Pilot models.
Honda Passport
When you want a spacious yet versatile SUV, consider the Honda Passport. It’s only slightly smaller than its three-row cousin, the Pilot, with a length of 189.1 inches. The Passport seats five passengers with plenty of room. When you’re in the front seat, you’ll enjoy 40.9 inches of legroom, while other passengers have a nearly identical 39.6 inches in the back seat. With a total passenger volume of 114.9 cubic feet, everyone rides comfortably in the new Honda Passport.
The Honda Passport also provides more than enough room to transport your gear, luggage and other essentials. With the second row folded down, you’ll get up to 100.8 cubic feet of cargo volume. When you don’t need as much space, keep the second row upright for 50.5 cubic feet of volume. As a bonus, the Passport boasts underfloor storage in the cargo area, offering the perfect place to store the necessities, such as first aid kits, repair tools and a spare tire.
Honda CR-V
The Honda CR-V may be a compact SUV, but there’s nothing small about it. The new CR-V measures 184.8 inches in length with seating for five passengers. Every passenger has nearly the same amount of legroom, with 41.3 inches in the front seats and 41 inches in the back row. The CR-V offers a total passenger volume of 103.5 cubic feet, allowing you to relax and enjoy the ride.
The new Honda CR-V offers configurable rear seating so you can fold, recline or split the seats, depending on the number of passengers or amount of cargo you have. In the back, the cargo area offers up to 76.5 cubic feet of cargo volume when you fold down the rear seats. With the second row upright, you still have 39.3 cubic feet of volume for groceries, packages or other items. The CR-V has a wide cargo opening that makes it easier to load your items in or out, and the upper trim offers a power tailgate with a programmable height.
Honda Accord
If you prefer to drive a sedan, there’s no need to sacrifice space for efficiency when you choose a Honda Accord. This sleek, stylish car comes in both gas-powered and hybrid models, each offering seating for five passengers. Front-seat passengers will get 42.3 inches of legroom in new Accord models, while back-seat passengers can spread out with 40.4 inches of room. Depending on the trim you choose, the new Accord offers up to 105.6 cubic feet of passenger volume for a smooth, comfortable ride.
In the front seat, a functional center console provides space for small belongings, such as phone accessories or sunglasses. In the back, 60/40 split fold-down rear seatbacks offer increased versatility when you need some extra space or easy access to the trunk. The Accord has a generous 16.7 cubic feet of cargo volume. Whether you’re dropping the kids off at soccer practice or taking a cross-country road trip with friends, you’ll enjoy the space and function of the Honda Accord.
