Honda Vehicles with AWD
All-wheel drive is often on a driver’s wishlist when shopping for a new vehicle. With all-wheel drive, you’ll have an easier time navigating rougher weather conditions and taking your vehicle off the beaten path. However, not every vehicle has AWD available, so if you’re interested in a Honda with AWD, read on for some models that can come with this configuration. The 2022 Honda CR-V

Starting MSRP: $26,400
First up, there’s the 2022 Honda CR-V. This is a compact crossover SUV, meaning it’s a little on the smaller size. However, despite its smaller size, the 2022 Honda CR-V still packs plenty of power. There are several engine types you can get with this model, with the base option being a 1.5-liter unit that produces 190 horsepower.
Whichever engine you choose, you’ll be able to tow around 1,500 pounds with the CR-V. Combined with the AWD system, this makes for a very capable SUV in a smaller body. In terms of fuel efficiency, if you get the AWD system, expect to get around 27 mpg in the city and 32 on the highway.
The 2022 Honda CR-V also comes packed with interior features. Inside, you’ll get either a 5-inch or 7-inch infotainment touchscreen, depending on your trim level. This infotainment system easily connects to most mobile devices, thanks to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities. You’ll also get a nine-speaker audio system and a host of safety features like adaptive cruise control and lane-departure warnings.
The 2022 Honda HR-V
Starting MSRP: $29,585
If you want something even smaller than the Honda CR-V, consider the 2022 Honda HR-V, as it’s one of the smallest vehicles in Honda’s lineup. With the HR-V, you’ll get a 16-valve, I-4 engine that produces 141 horsepower and 127 pound-feet of torque. This engine delivers around 26 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway, for a combined 31 mpg. You can also tow up to 1,000 pounds with the 2022 HR-V.
As with the CR-V, there are plenty of tech features inside the HR-V. This model also comes with a 7-inch touchscreen that can connect to Apple and Android devices. In addition, there are plenty of safety features, like adaptive cruise control and automated emergency braking, which led to the HR-V getting an overall five-star rating from the NHTSA.
One last great feature of the HR-V is Honda’s Magic Seat, which allows you to fold down the second row for additional storage. This allows you to fit larger items in your HR-V, something that other crossover SUVs might struggle with.
The 2022 Honda Passport
Starting MSRP: $43,695
The next step up in terms of size is the 2022 Honda Passport. This SUV has two rows of seats and provides a powerful performance. While the base option is a FWD system, you can upgrade to AWD if you wish. The base engine produces 280 horsepower, which leads to this SUV being able to tow up to 5,000 pounds. In addition, you can expect to get around 19 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway if you opt for the AWD upgrade.
Inside the Honda Passport, expect plenty of room for you, your passengers, and your cargo. There are 41 cubic feet of storage behind the back row, which you can extend to 78 cubic feet if you fold that row down. Every 2022 Honda Passport also comes with an 8-inch touchscreen that has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capabilities. Finally, the Passport includes all the latest safety features like lane departure warnings and lane-keeping assist, along with the ability to add features like blind-spot monitoring.
The 2022 Honda Pilot
Starting MSRP: $50,840
For a larger SUV option, turn to the 2022 Honda Pilot. This SUV contains three rows of seats, making it larger than both the CR-V and the HR-V. With the larger size also comes more power, as this model is capable of producing 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. This results in a fuel economy rating of 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway, for a combined 22 mpg. You can also tow more with this SUV, as it can safely tow up to 5,000 pounds.
Another great thing about the 2022 Honda Pilot is the number of optional upgrades you can get to the interior. With this model, you can upgrade to a larger 8-inch touchscreen and add in features like voice command and navigation. Even better, some of the best safety features come standard on the base model, including a forward collision warning, automated emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control.
The 2022 Honda Ridgeline
Starting MSRP: $37,640
Finally, there’s the 2022 Honda Ridgeline. Unlike the other vehicles on this list, the Ridgeline is a pickup truck rather than an SUV. This typically makes it better at handling rougher driving conditions and towing heavier items. With this model, you’ll get an engine that produces 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. This allows it to tow up to 5,000 pounds and produce a combined fuel efficiency rating of 21 mpg.
The Ridgeline also comes with plenty of standard features, which is one of the reasons it received an overall five-star rating from the NHTSA. Some of these features include a forward collision warning, a road departure mitigation system, and automated emergency braking. Finally, there’s a large 8-inch touchscreen infotainment center that’s compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. You’ll also get either a 7-speaker or 8-speaker audio setup, depending on your trim level.
