Honda Pilot Trim Levels

The Honda Pilot is a great mid-sized SUV that combines family-friendly interior dimensions with a strong engine and plenty of entertainment features. It also boasts a diverse selection of trims, which allow you to configure this crossover to your tastes.
Take a look below at the various Pilot trims we’ve got at our Honda dealership, and get in touch with us to start the purchase process.
2022 Pilot Features
The 2022 Pilot is a three-row SUV that seats eight people in its base configuration and seven in higher trims. Its vast interior, which includes over 18 cubic feet of storage behind the third row, makes this vehicle a popular choice with families with a lot of cargo.
The Pilot’s infotainment system also catches a lot of attention, with its all-new 8-inch touch screen for 2022 paired with a seven-speaker stereo for premium sound. You can choose from a great selection of connectivity options to link your phone or other devices with your vehicle.
Another impressive component of this vehicle is its 3.5-liter engine that churns out 280 horsepower. Also, the Pilot’s combination of power and fuel efficiency is perfect for family commutes within the city. Its gas mileage of 20 mpg in the city and 27 mpg at highway speeds, impressive for a vehicle of its size, will also come in handy on those long road trips across Ohio.
The Pilot is equipped with Honda Sensing across its entire lineup. This safety system enhances the safety of drivers and passengers through the coordination of features like collision warning, emergency braking, cruise control, and many more. If you choose one of the higher trims, you’ll gain access to some additional safety tech.
2022 Pilot Trims
The Pilot has seven trims to choose from in 2022: Sport, EX-L, Special Edition, TrailSport, Touring, Elite, and Black Edition. The trims range from an MSRP of $36,830 for the base Pilot Sport to an MSRP of $50,620 for the premium Black Edition. Note that these prices do not include any accessories you may decide to include as part of your purchase. Here’s a closer look at what each trim has to offer.
Sport

The Sport’s cabin features heated front seats and cloth upholstery and includes a power-adjustable seat for driver convenience. This trim also offers the tri-zone automatic climate control for improved comfort. Even as the entry-level name in the lineup, the Sport uses an excellent infotainment system. Popular features on this trim are Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, BlueTooth connectivity, USB ports, and satellite radio.
EX-L

Many people may be happy with the Sport trim, but we’ve seen quite a number of owners who want the additional conveniences of the EX-L. The driver gets memory settings and a heated steering wheel, while the front-seat passenger can look forward to a power-adjustable seat. All occupants will also benefit from leather upholstery throughout the cabin.
Loading up the Pilot with suitcases or groceries gets easier thanks to the power liftgate. What’s more, second-row passengers will appreciate the addition of sunshades for extended drives.
Special Edition

The Special Edition trim shares many features with the EX-L, though with a few updates. The main improvements are wireless device charging and a hands-free liftgate. That said, the exterior of this vehicle sets it apart from other trim levels’. It gets 20-inch black alloy wheels and black roof rails. On a side note, its power train gains a nine-speed automatic transmission.
TrailSport

The TrailSport’s rugged interior and exterior styling will immediately catch your eye. This trim is designed for those with a more adventurous lifestyle. It features a higher ride height and upgraded tires to cope better with rough terrain. Another bonus is the navigation system to guide you to your next destination.
Touring

The Touring trim will appeal to families who spend a lot of time on the road. Kids will enjoy its rear-seat entertainment system, which gives them access to their own screen for gaming or watching their favorite shows. For parents, the cabin PA system may come in handy, especially if they’re trying to communicate with third-row passengers inside a noisy cabin.
Several luxury upgrades also make an appearance in the Touring trim. For example, second-row passengers get heated front seats and ambient lighting is fitted throughout the cabin. A household power outlet is a practical addition in case you need to charge devices on the road, and we reckon the front and rear parking sensors will help you maneuver the Pilot safely in and out of tight spots.
Elite

The Elite trim drops the Pilot’s passenger capacity to seven, though adds second-row captain’s chairs. If you don’t need the eighth passenger seat, this trim certainly provides a higher level of comfort thanks to ventilated seats in the front row and a heated steering wheel for the driver. There are some extra cool touches worth mentioning, such as a panoramic roof and windshield wipers that start automatically when it rains.
Black Edition

The Black Edition is largely a more luxurious version of the Elite trim. So, if you want to stand out from the crowd with some unique styling touches, it could be the right trim for you. The cabin and exterior showcase dark roof rails, gloss black door handles, and other dark accents.
