Power To Perform

The go-anywhere HR-V uses a responsive and efficient powertrain, Honda’s 1.8-liter inline four-cylinder engine. This engine uses 16 valves with i-VTEC and multi-port fuel injectors. Honda combined this engine with their continuously variable transmission that delivers smooth, effortless shifting and power-on-demand. This powertrain puts out 141 horsepower and 121 pound-feet of torque and gets you up to 34 mpg on the highway and 28 mpg around town.

You can opt for Honda’s Real Time AWD system for exceptional control or keep the capable front-wheel-drive system for fuel better economy. The AWD system continuously monitors your traction and control. When the system senses you need more traction, it automatically sends power to the rear wheels to keep you in control, no matter the road conditions.

You also get Honda’s Eco Assist system, noise cancellation technology, the electric parking brake system with a brake holding function, and Hill Start Assist.

Interior Features

For example, a Forward Collision Warning system scans the way forward and alerts you to potential obstacles using visual and audio cues. Should you fail to react, the Collision Mitigation Braking System engages emergency brake support to help mitigate or avoid a possible accident. 

Honda’s Lane Keeping Assist and Lane Departure Warning systems track your vehicle within marked lanes. If these systems detect an unintentional drift, they send an alert. Should you not react, the system provides gentle steering correction to help you stay in your lane. In addition, Honda’s Road Departure Mitigation System uses the same technology to keep you from veering off the road entirely.

In addition, you get Honda’s Adaptive Cruise Control system. The ACC uses radar and cameras to keep your HR-V at a preset speed and distance to the vehicle ahead. When the traffic ahead slows, the ACC automatically slows your HR-V while maintaining the same distance interval. The system returns you to your pre-set speed when the way forward clears.
